Owen Wood started making knives in 1981, and has never looked back. Known around the world for his unique damascus, elegant designs, and incredible fit and finish, he has become one of the top makers working today, and at least one of his knives is found in nearly every good collection. His linerlock folders, and occasional automatics, are largely art deco and art noveau in style, and the patterns consist of Persian style, crescents, daggers, and others. He forges all of his own damascus, with his Herrigbone pattern being one of his most popular. He favors natural handle materials of the highest quality like various types of mother of pearl, and uses a lot of stainless steel and precious metals like gold in his creations. Many of his knives are carved and engraved by reknowned artist Amayak Stepanyan. Owen is a voting member of the Knifemakers Guild.
