Brian Tighe sold his first knife in 1989, and has been going strong ever since. He is accomplished in the tool and die trade, very knowledgeable in metallurgy, and has a solid foundation in design, construction, and heat treating. He is an accomplished photographer as well, and photographs all his own work. He primarily makes linerlock folders using high tech materials, but has recently designed a couple of fixed blade boot and neck knives as well. His style is very high tech in both tactical and art knives, and likes working with natural materials for his handles such as exotic woods, mother of pearl, and fossil ivory, but uses G10 and carbon fiber as well. He uses damascus from many of the top forgers. Brian has won awards for "Best Folders", and is a member of the Canadian Guild and the Knifemakers Guild. His factory collaborations include ventures with Columbia River Knife and Tool and Lone Wolf.
