Jurgen Steinau started working on his first knife when he was fourteen years old. With the skills he acquired from his ongoing studies of metal design, he was soon making art knives unlike any the world had seen before. Even other makers have been astounded at his ability to create the exotic mosaic handles and unique blade designs he has become so famous for. Jurgen has won numerous awards over the years, and is a member of the Art Knife Invitational, the very prestigious group of twenty five makers whose works are featured at the exclusive show held once every two years in San Diego.
