This fantastic linerlock automatic from John measures in at a full 9 1/4" open, 5 1/4" closed, and has a 4 1/8" blade length. The beautifully contrasting hot blued damascus blade and double bolsters are forged by John, and help show just why he is one of the very best sole authorship makers working today. The bolsters are carved and gold inlayed, the blade top is gold inlayed, and "Smith" is gold inlayed on one side of the blade while his signature "S" is gold inlayed on the reverse. No one I know of finds the quality of white mother of pearl that John does, and this knife has quite likely the finest premium scales I have ever seen. They are beautifully carved, colorful, and absolutely flawless. The liners are gold anodized titanium and have been fully fileworked. The hot blued damascus backspacer is rope fileworked inside and out, and contains three gold inlays outside and one additional gold inlay inside. The latch release is gold inlayed and all of the screws are gold. This knife is quite simply as good as it gets!
