Here is another incredible example of why Jim's knives have become so collectable. This large folder features likely the largest slabs of mother of pearl you will see, and his edge treatment on the rear of the knife is awesome. The damascus was of course made by Jim, the father of that steel in folders. The backspacer is damascus as well and is fully fileworked as is the full length of the blade spine. The stainless steel liners are also fully fileworked. The blade is released by pulling down on the very ample bail. Measuring 9 1/4" open, 5 1/2" closed, and with a 3 3/4" blade, this piece is a must for any Jim Schmidt fan.
