Here is another beautiful and extremely complex knife by Salvatore, Italian knifemaker extaordinaire. This two blade "Crisscross" lockback folder is a very difficult knife to make, and I don't believe there is another knifemaker anywhere who could do it this well. The knife measures 3 1/2" closed, one blade is 2 3/8", and the other is 2 5/8". The total open length is 8 7/16". The blades are made of RWL-34 and the handle is 416 stainless steel. All of the steel surfaces, including liners and backspacer inside and out, have been flawlessly polished to a brilliant finish, a look familiar to Salvatore collectors, but unlike any other you have seen. The premium antique Tortoise shell inlay is set in a solid 24K yellow gold frame. Each blade has a thumb stud inlaid with a brilliant diamond. The blades on this complex mechanism open and close as smooth as silk, yet have a very crisp snap to them. With its classy design and flawless fit and finish, this is a very sweet knife!
