This is the "Calypso" by Jim and Joyce, the first in a series of three new folding lockback interframe daggers that they will make in a very limited edition. This "proto" is 8 1/2" open, 4 3/4" closed, and has a 3 3/4" blade length. The stainless steel body is 24K gold inlayed, including six raised gold balls on each side. The stainless steel carved overlay is grayed, and contains six raised 24K gold balls in the waistband. The interframe inlays are absolute premium black lip mother of pearl, full of fire. The blade is carved, satin finished, partially grayed, and contains six raised 24K gold balls, three of which are used for opening. The stainless steel backspacer is carved in an art nouveau theme. There are no visible pins or screws, the knife is completely assembled from the inside. An awesome piece with a very elegant look, and a great new direction for this extremely talented duo.
