Jim Martin was a full time maker from 1992 until his death in January of this year. His specialty was fancy folders, automatics, and miniature knives of his design. He generally worked in stainless steel, but used some damascus for his blades. He was also an accomplished engraver as well as a master knifemaker, and he made a number of knives for the prestigious Barrett-Smythe company.  Jim will be missed, but he has left behind a very nice body of work for those fortunate enough to obtain one of his knives.
