James Lile (Jimmie) has not been with us for awhile now, but his knives are seemingly more popular than ever. He left behind a broad range of knifemaking styles, from button lock folders, hunters, bowies, fighters, boot daggers, and even a double action out the front that was one of the first of its kind. He used a lot of Stag, both in slab and Crown form, for his handle material on fixed blades, and as interframe inlays on his folders. Perhaps his best known knives are the "Rambo" fighters he designed for the now classic series of movies. Though he left behind a large body of work, his pieces are becoming more collectable all the time.
