This is Matt’s first version of his triple action automatic, or “credit card” knife. This knife functions as a full auto, or a button release manual at the flick of a switch, or, in this case, a credit card or similar thin object. The blade is 2 ¾” in length and the OAL is 6 ½”. The blade and release button are made of a stainless ladder pattern damascus, while the integral handles are mosaic damascus. The handle inlays are beautiful caramel colored mammoth ivory, and the same ivory is inlaid in the carved thumbstud. The backspacer is fileworked, and contains three damascus inlays. The knife comes with a custom thin strip of nylon which is used to trip the lever to control the function of the knife. Or, as the name implies, one can simply use a credit card. What a great knife from this truly gifted maker.
