This is a brand new prototype hunter from Steve. It was made in mid 2005, and is serial #001.The blade steel is D2, and it has a brushed finish. The handle material is Chinese Quincewood, and red fiber liners separate it from the tapered tang. The guard is burgandy micarta, and the pins are brown micarta. The rear tube is SS. The knife is 8 1/8" in overall length, and the blade is 3 3/4". It comes with a light tan leather sheath that is marked "4 DR P'TYPE 6/1/05 ATL. GA" This is a very unique hunter from one of the best knife makers  in the world.
