Rick Hinderer is a part time knife maker who sold his first knife in 1988. He specializes in working knives, many tactical styles, but also makes one of a kind fancy damascus folders, automatics, and straight knives. Rick uses ATS-34 and D2, and forges O1, W2, and his own nickel damascus which he uses on many of his fancy knives. He uses a lot of natural materials on the fancy folders like mother of pearl, fossil Walrus and Mammoth ivory, and makes bolstered, interframe, and window pocket styles of folders. Rick doesn't make nearly as many fancy knives these days, he has a hard time keeping up with the demand for his tactical knives.
