Jeff has been a full time knife maker since 1988. His fit and finish in the knife making world is legendary, and his specialty, trap door autos, are second to none. Jeff started like many makers with straight knives, then worked his way into folders and automatics. All of his knives are of his own design, and generally stand out as being very unique. Jeff on occasion makes his own damascus, but generally uses that from top forgers like Jerry Rados, whose Turkish twist is one of his favorites to work with. Jeff uses stainless steel on many knives, and favors handle inlays from all sources like stone, various pearls, ivories, woods, and even other steel on occasion. He does some engraving and inlays precious stones on some creations. Because of the incredible amount of time Jeff spends on his finish work, he is only able to produce around twenty-five to thirty knives per year.
