Greger Forselius has been making knives since 2001, but after looking at his designs and the fit and finish, one would think it has been a life long trade. He makes stick tang knives in the traditional Nordic style, and, while most are hunters, he does on occasion make some fighter styles. He has been influenced by numerous well known makers like Roger Bergh, Conny Perrson, Andre Anderson, and many others. He uses a wide variety of very unusual natural materials, along with some various metals, for his handles. Some examples would be Whale cheekbone, stabilized woods, Mammoth, Giraffe bone, Whale teeth, various antlers, along with metals like silver, nickel silver, copper, and brass. The handles are generally stacked, and include carving, filework, and inlays. His blade steel is Damasteel or other damascus by well known forgers like Mattias Styrefors and James Luman. All of his knives come with hand stitched and nicely tooled leather sheaths. This is a maker to watch, he will be one of the best.
