This tail lock folder from Dellana measures 7" open, 4" closed, and has a 3" blade. All of the damascus was forged by this artist who learned the trade from the late Jim Schmidt. The front and rear bolstes contain filework, and the knife is pinned using gold pins. The liners and damascus backspacer are extensively carved, as is the blade spine, and the backspacer contains gold inlays, diamonds and emeralds set in gold, and two large rubies set in gold in the tail lock. There is a large solid gold bail, and the thumbstuds are gold with topaz inlays. Dellana learned well from Jim, and this knife has the same feel and fit and finish that one of Jim's knives would have. A great piece named "Brilliant Beauty" on the liner of the knife.
