Dan Burke sold his first knife in 1976, and his slip joint, traditional style folders have become very collectable. He generally uses D2 and BG-42 steel, and prefers natural handle materials like mother of pearl, sea snail, abalone, etc. Dan has a several year backlog, and will no longer take orders for his knives. Dan is a long standing voting member of the Knifemakers Guild.
