This is one of the very first linerlock automatics that Van ever made. He made two similar, one with gold engraving, one without. The knife measures 8 1/8" open, 4 1/2" closed, and has a 3 5/8" blade length. He fully engraved, gold inlayed, or fileworked about everything that he could possibly do on this piece, including side plates, backspacer, linerlock release, and even part of the blade, and the end result is very pleasing. Though several years old, this knife is perfect in every way, rock solid, and functions beautifully. Van doesn't make many knives at all, let alone autos, and this one is truly a collectible piece looking for a good home.
